Dr. Chukwuma M. Okoroji, MD, FAAFP, FACOG, started Nature Coast Healthcare Center in Tallahassee, Florida, to be an advocate for his patients’ health throughout all stages of their life. Dr. Okoroji follows a holistic approach to medicine and focuses on empowering his patients through education.
He is board-certified in both family practice and obstetrics and gynecology and is also a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
His medical training began in Nigeria, where he attended medical school at the University of Ibadan and then completed his internship at Ahmadu Bello University. After spending several years working internationally, Dr. Okoroji came to the United States and completed his residency in family medicine at New York Medical College, St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Yonkers, New York. He then attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
In addition to taking care of patients at his practice, Dr. Okoroji serves as the chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Florida. He also works as an assistant clinical professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the Florida State University College of Medicine at the Tallahassee Regional Campus.
When he’s not working, Dr. Okoroji spends time with his wife and four children. He is also an active member of his local church.
